Congratulations To Our Employee Of The Month, Leanne Ferreira!

Leanne has been working for AHCS for almost 8 years! She has always met the requirements for being an outstanding employee on whom the agency can rely on. Loyal, honest, compassionate – she has genuinely proved herself to be a person with great potential.

“My hometown is Dartmouth but currently I live in Fairhaven. I graduated from Dartmouth High School and then became a licensed massage therapist, went to school for computers, medical coding and billing and then onto CNA. Before working at AHCS I owned my own painting and restoration company. My first job was at Cumberland Farms. I owned a clothing store when I was in my 20’s and designed and created my own jewelry (wedding piece) that was featured in a local fashion magazine. I have 2 sons: Alijah 21 and Cal 5 years old.

Working at AHCS I have learned to become more appreciative of all my blessings. I love the independence of working alone and seeing the smiles on my clients face when I get there. Knowing that I can turn a client’s day around just by walking through their door – that is what I enjoy the most in my role. For new hires I would suggest trying to create a trusting relationship with your clients. The most important thing that I have learned in the last few years is not to force anything in life and to let things happen naturally.My Mom influenced me when it comes to my approach to work.

My 5 year old son and completing a renovation of my home that I purchased 2 years ago (which is 90% done) keep me busy and energized outside of my work. I like to drive and listen to music. We enjoy dinner time and movie nights as well.”
